Anniversary conference “Beyond Borders and Boundaries: 20 years of Erasmus Mundus” (27-28.05.2024, hybrid)
To mark this important landmark in the lifetime of the programme, the European Commission’s Directorate General for Education and Culture (DG EAC) and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) hosted a high-level 20th Anniversary conference in Brussels, Belgium.
On 27-28 May 2024, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, coordinator of the National Erasmus+ office – Ukraine, joined the official celebration of the anniversary conference ‘Beyond Borders and Boundaries: 20 years of Erasmus Mundus’. The conference was organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). The conference was held in a hybrid format in Brussels, which included both in-person (by invitation only) and online participation. The event was attended by policymakers, experienced Erasmus Mundus Master programme coordinators and partners, alumni and wider stakeholder organisations.
Iliana IVANOVA, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, welcomed the participants.

The event highlighted and discussed the multi-layered impact of Erasmus Mundus outcomes over the 20 years of its existence. Building on a comprehensive publication that was released during the event, the programme zoomed into related individual and institutional transformations in the areas of governance, learning and teaching, international cooperation, and administrative processes, covering also questions of sustainability.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, coordinator of the National Erasmus+ office – Ukraine, joined the event and took an active part in the discussions on the results of Erasmus Mundus, emphasising the contribution of Ukrainian organisations and the scholarship holders themselves. Additionally, a series of networking events were held during the event to build new partnerships within the new generation of the Erasmus Mundus Programme of the EU Erasmus+ for 2021-2027.
